If Proust is the writer’s writer and Mozart the composer’s composer, Khalid Mohammed is the chef’s chef. Chaud’s exquisite dining rooms are almost as spectacular as the menu. Khalid‘s painstaking attention is given where the diner benefits most: in the kitchen. His dishes approach the magical. The light midday St. Ann’s traffic and the short drive from Downtown allow diners to enjoy the prix fixe fine dining lunch so swiftly, they are back at their desks – or on the green – before the school traffic starts! Khalid’s Chaud (French for “hot”) was named 2015 Restaurant of the Year by the Trinidad Hotels, Restaurants & Tourism Association and the Jamaican Observer’s Table Talk Awards. Chaud does off-site catering for all events.
